Eco (Atlantic) Oil and Gas is an international oil and gas exploration and development company focused on the identification, acquisition and development of upstream petroleum opportunities in politically stable and technically de-risked jurisdictions around the world.
The Company is listed on the the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange (AIM) and on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX-V). It has a strategic portfolio of offshore projects in Guyana (South America) and Namibia (Africa) in partnership with major oil companies and large independents. In February 2018, Eco was recognised as a 2018 TSX Venture 50™ company, an annual ranking of top-performing companies on the TSX-V over the last year.
In partnership with Tullow Oil and Total E&P Activités Pétrolières, Eco holds a 15% working interest in the 1800 km2 Orinduik offshore block in the shallow water of the prospective Guyana-Suriname basin. Notably, the licence area is adjacent and updip to ExxonMobil’s seven world class discoveries on the Stabroek Block where recoverable resources are estimated to be over 5.5 billion barrels of oil, with first production to commence by 2020.
Offshore Namibia, Eco is the majority stakeholder and operator of four prospective licence blocks in the Walvis Basin; Sharon, Cooper, Guy and Tamar. It is estimated that 25 billion barrels of prospective resources could be held within this licence area. The Walvis Basin is a proven petroleum system and Eco is working in partnership with Tullow Oil, NAMCOR and Azinam on these projects within the region.
Eco comprises a qualified and experienced management team, whose vast skills and expertise offer significant value while operating its highly-prospective offshore licences. When a licence is acquired, Eco thrives on bringing on board reputable and globally recognised oil and gas partners to assist with the development and the operation of the licence.
In addition, Eco’s Board and Management team has a proven track record of fully understanding the assets and the countries in which it operates, leading to the successful development of strong relationships with local governments and with other oil and gas companies operating in the region.
